Privacy Policy — OnStage
Overview
OnStage is a live music discovery app that shows you concerts and events happening near your current location. We built it to be simple and privacy-respecting. We don't require an account. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across other apps or websites.
Information We Collect
Location Data
OnStage requests access to your device's location to show you events near you. Location is used only to query our event database — it is sent to our servers to fetch nearby shows and is not stored, logged, or shared with third parties.
You can use the app without granting location access by searching for a city manually.
Anonymous Device Identifier
OnStage generates a random identifier (UUID) the first time you launch the app. This identifier is:
- Randomly generated — not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal information
- Stored only on your device
- Used to associate your stage time reports with your submissions so we can display community-reported data accurately
- Never shared with advertisers or data brokers
You can reset this identifier by deleting and reinstalling the app.
Stage Time Reports (Optional)
If you submit a stage time report ("Report OnStage Time"), we collect the artist name, venue, date, and time you submit, along with your anonymous device identifier. We do not collect your name, email, or any contact information when you submit a report.
Event Data
OnStage displays event data from third-party sources including Ticketmaster and JamBase. We do not collect or store information about which events you view.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Name, email address, or contact information
- Apple ID or sign-in credentials
- Precise location history or movement patterns
- Payment information
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Browsing history or cross-app tracking data
